Steven Dick, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Budapest, has kicked the bucket in the wake of contracting coronavirus, the Foreign Office said on Wednesday.
The 37-year-old representative kicked the bucket in Hungary on Tuesday, it said in an announcement. He had filled in as Deputy British Ambassador to Hungary since December, as indicated by a life story distributed on the UK government’s site.
Dick, an Arabic speaker who had worked for certain years in Kabul and Riyadh, took up his post in Hungary a year ago.
It isn’t known whether he had any fundamental ailments.
UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab stated: “I am frantically disheartened by the updates on Steven’s passing and my heart goes out to his folks Steven and Carol.
“Steven was a devoted negotiator and spoken to his nation with incredible expertise and enthusiasm. He will be remembered fondly by every one of the individuals who knew him and worked with him.”
