Shobana Chandrakumar is an Indian film on-screen character and artist bharatanatyam born March 21, 1970, also called Shobana. She has played almost 230 movies, for the most part in Malayalam, notwithstanding Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and English movies. She has won two national film grants, a Kerala State Film Award and numerous different honors.
Shobana built up herself as a main entertainer during the 1980s and ’90s. She has worked with executives, for example, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, G. Aravindan, K. Balachander, AM Fazil, Mani Ratnam, Bharathan, Uppalapati Narayana Rao and Priyadarsan. She has twice won the National Film Award for best on-screen character for her exhibitions in the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu (1993).
Shobana was prepared with artists Bharata Natyam, Chitra Visweswaran and Padma Subrahmanyam. She has developed as an autonomous entertainer and choreographer in her twenties and as of now runs a move school, Kalarpana, in Chennai. In 2006, the Indian government regarded Shobana of Padma Shri for her commitments to expressions of the human experience. In 2014, the legislature of Kerala State granted him the Kala Ratna Award.
Shobhana was instructed in Chennai at Rosary Matric Girls School. She is the niece of the Travancore sisters – Lalitha, Padmini and Ragini, who were all old style Indian artists and entertainers. The on-screen character Sukumari was her fatherly auntie. Malayalam entertainer Ambika Sukumaran is her family member. The Malayalam entertainers Vineeth is his cousin and Krishna is his nephew. She has an embraced girl, Ananthanarayani.
